Social Responsibility & Class

Victoria’s Secret not only provides clothes for women to feel sexy in, they practice business ethics and social responsibility. Just look at the back of their catalogs:

As a value-led organization, Victoria’s Secret is integrating the protection and preservation of  global resources into our everyday business practices.  It’s part of doing what is right, and  means we’re committed to sustainable, responsible and thoughtful environmental behavior.

We are proud to deliver the Victoria’s Secret catalog printed entirely on Forest Stewardship  Council certified paper.  As an environmental leader in the catalog industry, we are pleased to  be one of the first to make such a move.  The FSC logo allows consumers to recognize  companies that support the growth of responsible forest management worldwide.

I not only love their clothes, I appreciate their commitment to the environment.

Victorias Secrets is running a d]financial scam on their clients. Charging $15 to process an ACH debit, Overcharging late fees when delaying to process payments. Victorias Secret is in Financial TROUBLE and taking it out on their clients. Beware of illegal/unethical charges by VC. The Government needs to fine and monitor this company for unethical client behavior.

I would encourage you to do more research on this company and maybe it will sway your opinion on the matter. The “unethical client behavior” is the least of the wrongdoings of Victoria’s Secret. The unjust treatment of both children and adults from Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, who work 15 hours a day on a seven-day basis is what concerns me. The “comfy”, “sexy” underwear that America loves come from children in factories or on cotton plantations who are beaten if they do not work fast enough and are “rewarded” with four cents for every bikini made. How wonderful is it that we have such pretty, luxurious bras to wear when families cannot get enough basic necessities for survival? Not so wonderful.
